Arcgis create centroid point from polygon

To centroid Create a new point feature class with all attributes from the center points (centroids) of the features in the current layer. I have a large number of records which are mapped as points in GIS but I would like to display them as square polygons depending on the precision at which they were recorded. I would like to display them in the same way as the NBN map. I have an ArcGIS v10 Info license but I can't find a suitable tool. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
